About Our Donations to the Community

Since its commencement in 2002, the Foundation has awarded more than $11,000 in scholarships to Dunmore H.S. students to assist in providing opportunities in higher education.

In the spring of 2004, the Foundation donated a scoreboard to the new Dunmore H.S. baseball stadium. In addition to the donation of the scoreboard, the Foundation made a commitment to Dunmore H.S. to donate a batting cage at a future date.

In the winter of 2006, the Foundation donated a new carpet for the Dunmore H.S. athletics field house.

In the spring of 2007, the Foundation donated a batting cage to the Dunmore Little League.

Making good on its commitment, in the spring of 2008 the Foundation, along with the assistance of Gino Tempesta, Thomas Jimmie, Brian Clark, and members of the Dunmore H.S. baseball team, a batting cage was designed and constructed at the Dunmore H.S. baseball field.

In the spring of 2011 and winter of 2010 the Foundation made two separate donations in the amount of $3,400 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Pennsylvania and Southern West Virginia. The gifts were used to enrich the lives of children from Lackawanna County, whose wishes were to travel to Walt Disney World.
