Supported Charities

The Brian Forgione Foundation is dedicated to doing much in Brian's memory; supporting those affected by cancer that include commitments to the American Cancer Society, Coaches vs. Cancer of NEPA, Make-A-Wish, Ronald McDonald House and Geisinger Hospital. Additionally, the Foundation stays active in the local community supporting related organizations and events that further our mission.

We Offer Support to Numerous Charities

Since its commencement in 2002, the Foundation has made several charitable donations in Brian’s memory to a number of organizations, including the American Cancer Society, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and Adopt a Child Christmas.

A New Partnership with Geisinger Health Foundation

Last year we announced a new partnership with the Geisinger Health Foundation pledging $10,000 over 5 years to Geisinger's Classroom Connect program. The Geisinger's program provides the ability for pediatric cancer patients to remain connected to their schoolwork and classmates through the use of iPads and other innovative technology.

American Cancer Society Partnership Continues

The Foundation continued our ongoing partnership with Coaches vs. Cancer of NEPA by committing $8,500 to serve as Sponsor for its 2019-2020 Season Events. The Foundation has now totaled nearly $72,500 in donations to the American Cancer Society over the last nine years for the Coaches vs. Cancer of NEPA.

A Home-Away-From-Home with Ronald McDonald House

The Foundation donated over $2,000 to the Ronald McDonald House in 2020. Since 2013 the Foundation donated nearly $15,000 to the House. We also maintained our leadership position with the Ronald McDonald House by continuing to serve as a member of its Board of Associates.

Supporting Make-A-Wish

The Foundation remains steadfast to Make-A-Wish and granting children with life threatening illnesses a wish come true. This is the sixth time the Foundation has teamed with Make-A-Wish to grant a child a memorable moment. Since inception the Foundation has granted more than $26,000 to Make-A-Wish.

Supporting the Local Community

The Foundation participated for its ninth year in 'Adopt-A-Family' for Christmas. The program provides warm clothing and toys to less fortunate families in the region. Since inception the Foundation donated more $2,000 to this great program.

For the eight time we served as Premier Sponsor for the Bill Howerton Strike Out Cancer Weekend. The foundation has donated over $1,000 to this yearly event.
